Do this first

  1. 1

    Call 1905

Uttarakhand's toll-free CM Helpline number. Tell them your problem and the department it concerns, if you know it.

    Call 1905
  2. 2

    Or register online

Use the CM Helpline web portal or mobile app if you prefer not to call.

  3. 3

    Note your reference number

You'll get one when your complaint is registered. Keep it to track the status later.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Register your complaint

You can register a complaint by calling 1905, through the web portal, through the mobile app, or through an IVR recording facility on the call.

The portal groups complaints by department, such as Policing & Crime, Transport & Traffic, Housing & Land, Health & Medical, and more, or you can choose "All Departments" if you are not sure which one applies.

    Call 1905
  2. 2

    Track your complaint

Use your registered mobile number or email on the portal to check the status, see which office it has been forwarded to, and read the settlement report once it is resolved.

  3. 3

Send a reminder if it's not resolved

If your complaint isn't resolved in time, use the portal's reminder option to chase it, rather than registering it again.

  4. 4

About a central government office instead?

CM Helpline is for Uttarakhand state departments. For a central government ministry or office, the portal points you to CPGRAMS and carries a 'Lodge CPGrams Grievance' link, so you can go straight there from the same site. You can also file on CPGRAMS directly.

Watch out

  • Registering a complaint on 1905 is free. No one from the CM Helpline will ask you to pay to register it or to speed it up.

When an advocate can help

You can do every step above yourself. An advocate helps when:

  • A government office keeps ignoring an order it's bound to follow, even after your complaint is marked resolved
  • You need to challenge a government decision, not just get a reply
