NyaySetu is a technology platform that connects clients seeking legal guidance with verified advocates. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice directly. NyaySetu facilitates communication between clients and independent legal professionals.
Clients: Must be 18 years or older. Must provide accurate personal information during registration.
Advocates: Must hold a valid Certificate of Practice issued by the Bar Council of India. Must submit Bar Council ID, Certificate of Practice, and Government ID for verification. Must be currently enrolled with a State Bar Council. NyaySetu is currently accepting advocates based in Uttarakhand only.
Submit a text query (max 1,000 characters) to a verified advocate. The advocate will respond (max 2,000 characters) within 24 hours. If no response is received within 24 hours, the payment is automatically refunded in full.
Real-time text chat with a verified advocate for a purchased duration (15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes). The timer starts only when both parties have sent at least one message. If no messages are exchanged for 3 consecutive minutes, the timer pauses automatically to protect your purchased time. A minimum charge of 2 minutes applies even if the chat is ended early.
Escrow Model: All payments are held by NyaySetu until the consultation is completed. Funds are released to the advocate only after successful completion.
Platform Fee: NyaySetu charges a 20% platform fee on each consultation. The remaining 80% is paid to the advocate.
Auto-Refund (Quick Ask): If an advocate does not respond within 24 hours, the full payment is automatically refunded.
Auto-Refund (Chat - No Show): If the advocate does not join the chat within 5 minutes, the full payment is automatically refunded.
Proportional Refund (Chat - Early End): If a chat is ended before the purchased time, unused time is refunded proportionally. A minimum 2-minute charge applies.
Disputes: If you are dissatisfied with a consultation, you may raise a dispute within 48 hours. NyaySetu's admin team will review the case and decide on a full refund, partial refund, or no refund.
